I’m Natasha Bailey-Walker. Some know me as Orilonise. My friends know me as Ori.
I have taught higher education since 2003— mostly first year English classes and the occasional World Literature course. My passion has always been in writing and dissecting all things creative. Having a drive to understand why creative works touch us on a real, visceral level made me a strong professor.
Being a strong professor isn’t always enough. Sometimes I am drawn to create, not just muse on what has been created. The pieces I have written are disparate on purpose. I don’t think it is appropriate to be pigeonholed into what one can write about. (Unless it requires deep expertise, of course.) So, in this space, I will share my various creations and step away from being a professor and lean into being a writer.
